Simply Speaking Speech and Occupational Therapy would like to wish you a Happy Easter, with an educational twist. Coloring Easter eggs is a great way for kids to learn their colors. Decorating the colored eggs with circles, stars, hearts, etc. is a great way to learn shapes. Hiding your Easter eggs “in the grass”, “behind the tree”, or “under the table” is a great way to learn prepositions. Counting how many eggs are in their basket is a great way for kids to learn their numbers and counting skills. Having the kids paint their names on the Easter eggs they found is a great way to learn letters and spelling skills. Telling children the true story of Easter is a wonderful way to teach kids about the beginning, middle, and end of story structures. Have a fun and educational Happy Easter!
